Is that when it rains (and let me tell you, it's RAINING out there) it's dark all day long. From the moment you wake up in the morning (which is later than usual because it's still dark outside) to afternoon tea to dinner time... It's dark. This is partly due to the towering redwoods, partly to coastal fog, and partly to thundering clouds.
Independently I love all of those things, but when you combine them on a Sunday afternoon I get a little restless.
So today we're taking a cue from Marvin and burrowing in deeper. Venturing out only to restock the wood and switch the laundry (clean sheets!), we're enjoying the light of our home.
